Chapter Eleven
Gia
The party planning business hadn't taken off as quickly as I had hoped. Business was good but not quite good enough to pay for food and rent even outside the city.
Choosing food, I moved back in with my parents, just temporarily until things picked up with the business or until I got another job. Though the first thing was the more likely of the two scenarios.
Things really were picking up with the business and considering the circumstances of how my last job at the restaurant ended, it didn't seem like I would be getting a reference anytime soon. At least not one that would help me in getting another job, so it was better not to ask and succeed or fail on my own.
I couldn't help but feel like I had already started to succeed. I already had four bookings including Maya's Halloween party and I'd only been in business officially for a couple of months. Thinks were really looking up.
It was the day before Thanksgiving and not only did I have Amanda's shindig to organize, but also, Maya had been so impressed with the Halloween party that when she got the idea for what she called a "friendsgiving" get together, she hired me to plan that as well. The only saving grace was that the friendsgiving event was going to be the day before official Thanksgiving, so I would have some time to finalize the plans for Amanda's party.
I had been invited to the friendsgiving get together as well. It only made sense, Maya being a friend and all. I wasn't sure about mixing business and pleasure like that, but she had given me my first job, which had then led to others, so I was hardly going to protest. Sally was going to be there too as well as Amanda and Catharine.
I really thought I had gotten too old to make new friends, but I seemed to get along with Amanda and Catharine like a house on fire. I was beginning to form a small but tight social circle which was still more than I had managed to do before.
My only really friend for years was Sally and that was mostly because we had known each other forever and she had never let me down. Though it was also nice to be able to open up to other people as well and try to get past some of my obvious and lingering trust issues.
I hadn't seen Reece in person since the Halloween party, though I would still gently touch my pussy when I thought about what happened there. What he had done to me and what he had done for me.
I didn't have much time to talk on the phone, it being a busy time of year for events. We still texted, though. I often wanted to touch myself to what he wrote. Just the thought of him made me really horny.
It had never happened like this with any guy before. Still, I felt anxious about trusting him.
